Quick answers for common member management questions

How do I create/add a member?

  • Members → Create New → Member → enter member information → select membership → member signs waiver, adds password and payment method → Create

Can minors have accounts?

  • Yes, but they must be connected to a Guardian Account.

How do members log in to FitnessGM?

  • Members log in using the password they set when their account was created.

  • They can reset their password from the login page, if necessary.

Do timestamps show up for changes made to a member's profile?

  • Yes, any changes made to a member's profile is logged in the Fitness GM Black Box.

How are Custom Labels displayed under member profiles?

  • Custom labels assigned to a member, will show up on the Members summary page.

Is there a way to manually charge a member?

  • Yes, you can do this directly in a member's profile.

  • Members → select member's name → membership details → upcoming payments → three dots → $ Manual Charge → select payment method → Pay Now.

What happens when I delete a member?

  • Soft delete (recommended): Member is marked as deleted, cannot log in, but data is preserved and the account can be restored.

  • Hard delete: Member is completely removed and cannot be restored. All contact information, billing records, and payment history are deleted.

How do I convert a Lead to an Active member?

  • Purchase a membership in the member's profile. Members → select member's name → membership details → purchase.

Can Leads only be created by staff?

  • Yes, Fitness GM does not have lead generating capabilities.

Member already has a profile, will adding them again create a duplicate?

  • Each email address can only be associated with one account. If you attempt to create a member using an email that already exists in the system, you will receive an error.

  • To avoid duplicates, always search for the member first before creating a new profile.
