Rhombus Integration Guide

How the Integration Works

• Fitness GM automatically creates members' Rhombus profiles

• Fitness GM pushes member data to Rhombus in a one-way sync — active members are granted access, inactive members are denied access

• Members are checked into the general facility upon entry

• Check-ins are time and date-stamped automatically

• Check-in data is visible in both the Rhombus entry log and the Fitness GM recent access log

Please note that any permissions created directly inside Rhombus will not sync back to Fitness GM

Check-In Methods

Facial Recognition

• Requires a photo on file in the member's Rhombus profile

• Member enters gym → Rhombus camera detects member → Facial recognition matches their profile photo → Member is automatically checked in

• No action needed from the member

Wave to Unlock

• Member must have the app downloaded to use this method

• Member waves at the door reader → Automatically checked in

• Geofenced unlock limits can be applied — member must be within a set distance of the door before unlock is triggered (recommended for staff use)

Key Fob

• Staff assigns a key fob to the member's Rhombus profile

• Member taps their key fob at the reader → unlocks the door and checks member in automatically

• Rhombus access control system

• Camera at entrance

Best For

• Gyms that want a hands-free member check-in experience

• High-traffic or high-volume locations

• Large or 24/7 facilities

• Multi-location gym groups managing access from one dashboard

Available Access Control Settings

• Set which doors members, staff, or specific groups can access

• Schedule automatic door lock/unlock times by day and time

• Set start and end dates for member credentials

• Remotely unlock doors from the console or mobile app

• Manage mobile badges for staff or members

• Enable wave to unlock or key fob access in addition to facial recognition

• Use geofenced limits on wave to unlock (recommended for staff only)

• Create lockdown plans to instantly lock or unlock all doors in an emergency

• Create alerts for door opens, force opens, badge/face mismatches, etc.

Additional Camera Features

These are available within Rhombus but are independent of the Fitness GM integration:

• License plate and vehicle tracking

• Unusual traffic pattern detection

• Advanced footage search (e.g., find all instances of a red shirt)

• Face-specific alerts — get notified when a specific person appears on camera

• Multi-camera video wall monitoring
