Late Payment Fees

Automatically penalize overdue payments to encourage on-time billing

Reduce late payments by configuring an automatic late fee that gets added to a member's invoice after a set grace period. Choose between a flat dollar amount or a percentage of the bill.

Late Fee Setup:

  1. Settings → Payments → Enable "Late Payment Fee"

  2. Choose type:

    • FIXED AMOUNT - Flat late penalty (i.e. $10 late fee)

    • PERCENTAGE - Variable portion of bill (i.e. 5% of invoice)

  3. Set the number of days overdue before the fee is applied

  4. Input Amount

  5. Save Settings

Examples:

  1. Fixed — $10 fee after 5 days overdue Payment fails → 5-day grace period → $10 added to invoice subtotal

  2. Percentage — 5% fee after 5 days overdue $50 payment fails → 5-day grace period → $52.50 invoice subtotal
