Group Messaging

Create and manage targeted message groups based on member status, labels, or individual selection.

  • Chat or email groups based on member status, custom labels or specific members.

  • Group messages will have a Group Name and can have a profile image uploaded.

  • Choose to CC or BCC group members in any group chat or email.

Example Group Filters

  • Active Members — Status = ACTIVE

  • Potential Members — Status = LEAD or VISITOR

  • Insurance Members — Custom Label = INSURANCE

Tip: Once you set the filter (status/custom labels), groups will update automatically as members match or no longer match your criteria.

Start a conversation:

Select Inbox → select 👤+👤 (create group) icon → choose Group Name → choose filters or specific members → Create Group → Choose Chat or EmailType message and Send

Responding to Messages:

  • Your unread message count will appear above the Inbox tab and on the right side of the message log.

  • All message types support file attachments and show which staff member sent the message.

  • Use Chat or Email to filter messages by type.

Chats

  • You can respond to group chats directly within Fitness GM.

  • Once sent, a double checkmark will appear on the message - click it to see a breakdown of which members have or have not yet read the message.

Emails

  • Group emails will appear in a single group message thread.

  • All emails replied to are displayed as 1 to 1 messages and will include a snapshot copy of the email they are responding to.

Email response handling depends on your Fitness GM subscription. See more details comparing the free plan vs paid plan [Email Capability & Configuration]
